Macdonald Hotels & Resorts is to invest in new leisure facilities across its Vital Health and Wellbeing brand as part of a £2.5m refurbishment.
The project, which started in Macdonald Inchrya hotel in Falkirk last month and is expected to complete at the Macdonald Houstoun House Hotel in Livingston in the next few weeks, will see gyms fitted with the latest technology from health and training brand Life Fitness.
Each of the 16 renovated leisure suites will have kit connected to the internet such as the SE3 interactive cardio machines and PowerMill Climbers which have integrated video streaming capabilities, and IC6 Myride indoor cycle bikes.
Each centre will also feature a Life Fitness’ SYNRGY station which it enables members of all abilities to train independently or in a small group.
Keith Pickard, group director of golf, leisure and spa at Macdonald Hotels, said: “The multi-million-pound investment reaffirms our commitment to providing guests with the very best state-of-the-art fitness and spa facilities, building on our already high standards.
“We know just how important our modern gyms and unique spas are to our guests especially at a time of year when many are on a health kick following the festive season – and we are excited to continue to provide market leading facilities.”
